Event codes

Every event created in Schoolea is assigned a unique event code. This code is between 8 and 10 letters and numbers, and can be used by attendees to access your event.

The event code for your event can be found in the Events section, or in the settings for your event.

Event codes are required for private events, but optional for public events.

Using your event code

For public events, you should direct people to your event website, where public events will be shown by default.

For private events, your event website has an event code entry field that can be used to gain access to your event.

tip

You can also link to the event directly by using the URL format:

https://customername.schoolea.com/REPLACEME

Make sure you change customername and REPLACEME in the link with your actual event website and event code.

Changing an event code

After an event is created, you can change the event code by using the Change Event Code option when editing your event.

Your new event code must be between 5-10 uppercase letters and numbers and not used by another event. We recommend avoiding ambiguous letters and numbers that could be misinterpreted or hard to read, such as O/0 or I/1.

warning

This change takes immediate effect and will prevent people from using the old event code. Only change your event code if you haven't publicized your event or need to correct the wrong code being sent out.
